Megaroller shows off their new products & image at Beltcon 18 – 2015
Megaroller Industries (Pty) Ltd attended Beltcon 18 – 2015 Conference, an International Materials Handling Conference (IMHC) that is held on a bi-annual basis. The 2015 Beltcon 18 conference was held at Birchwood Conference Venue and was structured as a formal platform for the presentation of various papers over a two-day period by a wide range of professionals across the bulk handling industry.
This year 18 papers were presented and covered a wide range of topics from “Basic Conveyor Maintence” to “Energy efficient belt conveyor design”. The conference is extremely insightfull and informing for any company or professional involved in the bulk handling industry. This fact was empasized by the list of delagtes representing the biggest and most influencial players in the bulk handling industry. Companies such as Sasol, Sandvik, Glencore, Exxaro, Eskom, Dunlop, Anglo Gold, Anglo Coal and ELB were represented at the conference, to name but a few.
The conference has always offered opportunities for both academic professionals and industry professionals to present new research and concepts that assists in informing the industry of the latest developments that could be beneficial for the future development of the industry.
A few select industry suppliers also exibited at the conference and Megaroller joined the exclusive list of suppliers for this opportunity to network with bulk handling industry leaders.
Since the re-design of Megaroller’s corporate identity in 2014, this is only the second exhibition opportunity for Megaroller after Electra Mining Expo held in September 2014, where Megaroller also exhibited. This presented an opportunity for Megroller to not just share its new identity with the industry, but also to show off their newly patended full steel idler. The response from the delegates was overwhelmingly positive and once again proves that Megaroller will remain a highly competitive supplier in the bulk handling industry. Megaroller’s General Manager, Mr Sarel Koekemoer, hinted that another two new patended products can be expected from Megaroller within the next 12 months. Apart from Mr Koekemoer, Megaroller was also represented by Mr Adrian Evans – Business Development Manager at Megaroller, and Mr Francois Viljoen – Business Development Consultant.
Megaroller will be a company to keep an eye on in the coming years as they are gearing up for international expansion. “With a team and product range like this, Megaroller can not only continue to grow, but will become an international force in the bulk handling industry”, says Mr Koekemoer.
To close off with a comment made by Mr Arnold Matthee, Keynote speaker at the conference: The bulk handling industry in South Africa is busy navigating an economic storm within a global economic storm and it is our ability to provide intimate customer service and industry excellence via South Africa to Africa that will help us to survive the storm.
